７行目を星３つにしたのは、作品の主題を考える上で、重要は描写だと判断したからである。
「unavenged」は残念ながら『新コンサイス英和辞典』には掲載されていなかった。
そこで他の辞典『エッセンシャル英和辞典』で調べた。
「復讐をとげない」と書いてあった。

「復讐」がテーマのように語られる『嵐が丘』だが、第２章で、「復讐をとげない」意味の単語が表現されているのだ。

登場人物の感情や情念など複雑に織りなされる作品の特徴が早くも現れてるのかも知れない。

実戦ビジネス英語にて

invest（投資する）についての語句説明で、

『英語学習のために時間とエネルギーをつぎ込む』
（Invest time and energy in studying English）

というのがあった。

今の自分だと感じた。

『実戦ビジネス英語』は自分にとってレベルが高すぎなので、

最近は聞いているだけに留めている。
