4世代の碁会 ４ Generation Go tournament

昨日は選挙でした。マスコミの予想通り民主の１方的な勝利でした。
一市民として、庶民も世界に誇れる日本国になって欲しいと願ってます。
　恙無い、引き継ぎの元に新しい政権が世界の乱戦の経済情勢の中をリードして欲しいと願います。
　囲碁界の為にも平和と経済安定を是非、実現して頂きたいです。

　そして，昨日の午後は投票を終えた皆様と囲碁大会を行いました。
　参加者は７歳～８５歳までの４世代と言ってもよい幅広い大会になりました。
　　女性が半分２０歳未満が４分の１の参加でした。
　大会中に気づいたのですが、このような幅広い囲碁大会が可能な国は世界広しといえど日本だけです。
　世界に誇れる日本の碁です。

　　We had a big change in the Japanese politic world yesterday.
I hope the new leader will handle economy, politics and peace well.

Yesterday afternoon, I organized a little go tournament.
The players ages ranged from 7 years old to 85 years old.
It could be almost 4 generation.
Half of the players were ladies and quarter of the players were under 20 years old.
I think it is only possible to have this kind of Go tournament in Japan.
I am proud of the long japanese Go history like this.

夏休みも、終わりですね。 Summer vacation is end.

昨日ギヨウム君がパリに発ちました。
別れ際に『苦かった日本茶が好きになりました』と言ってました。
日々、帰国が近づいてくると、『まだパリに戻りたくな～い、もっと、もっと日本で碁を打っていたい』と言ってました。
それを聞いている私も夏休みの終わりを感じ日々やらなければいけないことが沢山溜まっていることを思い出し、子供時代の夏休みの終りを懐かしく感じました。
　絵日記は大変でしたね。。。

　留学達の滞在中、多くの方々のご好意とご親切を受けました。
　この場でも御礼を申し上げます。
　　おかげ様で日本ファンが又増えました。

　Yesterday, one of the French boys left Tokyo to go back home.
Before he left he said "Now I like the Japanese bitter green tea"
He was mumbling, "I don't want to go back home yet, I want to stay in Tokyo to play more Go" since last week.
It reminded me of the feeling in the end of the summer vacation from my childhood.

I like to thank many people for your kindness and favour to help the foreigner GO students.
They become to like Japan and Go more.

海ほたる

　友人が東京の夜のドライブに連れて行ってくれました。
　レインーブリッジから『海ほたる』まで、外国のお客様達は大喜びでした。
　　私も夜の海ほたる初めてで、楽しかったです。
　遠くに見える明かりが水平線の曲線の上にあり、地球は丸～い！と確認してきました。

　My good friend drove for us to the Rainbow bridge and the "Umihotaru" (a highway on the ocean)
My foreigner friends enjoyed it very much.
It was the first time I went there at night.
I could seethat the earth is round as I saw the wave of lights on the horizon.

京都・嵐山の錦 Restaurant NISHIKI Arashiyama in Kyoto

去年の真夏、ロシアの友人を案内して京都へ行きました。
その時、市内もいいけれど郊外も素晴らしいとお気に入りの嵯峨野まで
足を延ばし嵐山の錦で遅いお昼を頂きました。
　その時にたおやかな女将さんが、丁寧にお食事を楽しませてくれました。
　そして、その『錦』が東京の荻窪のルミネの中に出店していることを
　知り、京都大好きな父と食べに行きました。
　何と、その女将が月１回、京都からお出ましで、又、丁寧な御もてなしに
　預かりました。
　　我が父はここまで、『ニコニコ』できるかと思うほどの上機嫌。
　
　女将さんのお陰で京都の繊細なお料理を満喫して、その上に親孝行までできました。『ほんに、よろしいおすえ～』

　Last summer, I went to Kyoto for my Russian friend.
We walked around Sagano and we had very late lunch at the Restaurant NISHIKI.
The graceful landlady talked with us as we ate there.

Unfortunately, I did't have time to go to Kyoto at all this summer.
But I went to this restaurant's branch with my father in Tokyo.

The landlady visits this branch only once a month from Kyoto but luckily we went there just on the day she was there.
My father was very very happy to meet her and to eat Kyoto style food.
I was happy as well to enjoy the delicate food of Kyoto and to meet her again.
I could do Filial piety too.

院生志願の青年 The boy wish to be INSEI

前回の一番左の青年（１７歳）に日本棋院で偶然、会ったのですが、　
何と院生志願のイスラエルからの青年でした。
　４年前ほど、イスラエルで『ヒカルの碁』のアニメがＴＶで放映され
碁がブームになり、２年前当たりから若い有段者が出てきていました。
　私の所にも院生志願の打診、マスターコース参加者があり、今も
プロ棋士派遣の打診を受けている矢先の出来事です。
　この青年は親戚に日本と縁がある人がいて、院生になる準備をしていたようです。それにしても、詳しい情報がなくても、『院生、プロ棋士』を目指して
　西洋の若者が日本まで武者修行に来てくれる時代になったのですね。
　是非、このような若者の受け入れ態勢を日本側も作ってあげたいものです。

　The boy who is standing in the right side of the photo in my last entry is the boy whom I met in Nihon kiin the other day.
He is a 17-year-old from Israel.
He came to Japan to become an Insei.
I have been hearing that there are many young Go players in Israel by Hikaru no Go animation on TV since 4 years ago.
And I had some contact with boys who want to become Insei and we had some of the young boys joining the Go mastercourse the last 2 years.
I hope we can prepare to receive these new GO players for studying Go in Japan more and more.
