梅雨に入りました！ We entered rainy season

　コロナ、コロナ、、、と日々、心配しているうちに、梅雨に入りました☔️
　その前に、散歩した時に見つけた立葵の花。
　この季節は、例年ならば会津若松で会津中央病院・女流立葵杯が打たれる時です。
　今年は残念ながら延期。。。
　その立葵の花、梅雨入りの頃に下から咲き始め、梅雨明けの頃に上まで咲くそうです。

Everyday, worrying about corona, corona... and now we've entered rainy season☔️
But before it started, I found these Tachi-Aoi flowers.
Usually in this season, the Aizu Chuo Hospital's Women's Tachi Aoi Cup would be played.
Sadly it had to be postponed this year..
It is said that this Tachi-Aoi flower starts blooming around the start of rainy season, and blooms to the top of the stalk at the end of the rainy season.

初夏！ Summer begins!

　急に暑くなりました！
　マスクが、鬱陶しい日々です。
　日本の囲碁のプロ棋士対局はマスク着用がルールになりました。
　将棋は外しても大丈夫なようですね。
　マスクをして長時間の対局は集中力が落ちると言う説も聞きますが。。。

It's suddenly so hot!
Not the nicest weather to keep the masks on.
Wearing masks became compulsory for Japanese professional Go tournaments.
It seems that it's ok to take them off for Shogi games.

『ライバル物語』 内藤由紀子著 "Legendary Rivalries" by Yukiko Naito

　囲碁界のライバル？に焦点を当てた本が出版されましたのでご紹介させて頂きます。
　自宅にいる時間が増えた今、碁を知らない方が読んでも面白いと思います。

A book shedding light on rivalries(?) in the Go world has been published.
In these days when we have more time at home, I think it's a book that can be enjoyed by audiences that aren't familiar with Go as well.

詰碁の思い出 Memories of Tsumego

　
この数日、電話、書類などで忙しくブログはお休みになってしまいました。
仕事(対局、囲碁指導)は、まだまだお休み中なのに。
６月２、３日に延期されていた本因坊戦が甲府市常盤ホテルで打たれました。
本因坊文裕(井山裕太九段)に芝野虎丸名人(黒番)挑戦。
結果は井山本因坊が中押し勝ち。
AIの評価で見ると白の芝野名人の打ち方に問題がありました。
2局目を期待しましょう。

These few days, I was caught up with calls and documents and took a break from this blog.
But work (professional tournaments, Go classes) are still on hold..
On the 2nd and 3rd of June, the postponed Honinbo title match was played at the Kofu city Jouban hotel.
Honinbo Monyu (Yuta Iyama 9p) was challenged by Toramaru Shibano Meijin (playing black).
The result was Iyama Honinbo's win.
Looking at AI's analysis, it seems that there were some difficulties in the way Shibano Meijin played.
Let's look forward to the 2nd game.


今日は私事ですが１年前に逝きました父の命日。
碁を教えてくれた父です。
父は『詰碁』が大切との持論があり、小さい時から詰碁は日常生活の一部のように碁を学びました。
その頃に学んだ『玄玄碁経』から懐かしい問題を紹介します。

On my personal side, today marks one year since my father passed away.
He was the one who introduced and taught me Go.
He believed in the importance of "Tsumego" and Tsumego was like a part of daily life studying Go since I was young.
I share here a nostalgic problem from the book I studied in those days, "Gengen Gokyo".
