運河を歩く au bord du canal

These two weeks I've walked back to the Shinagawa station from the canal side site. It takes half an hour or more.
And it makes me so exhausted as to throw sands in my eyes in my room.
I take a walk at lunch time, too.
I have had fine days. The temperature is not so high and not so cool.

On the tetra-pods under the KonanOhashi bridge, the seagulls have flown back to spend the winter on the relatively warmer water of the canal.

In the evening, for a very short time the golden waves cover the canal.
After a several minutes, the golden color vapors and the veil of dark grey spreds onto the water.
The night comes.
The day passes.
Like an old chanson of Leo Ferre.

Often I stop my walk to recite the poem of Apollinaire.
Faut-t-il qu'il m'en souvienne...
La joie venait toujours après la pèine...
.....
Vienne la nuit
Sonne l'heure
La jour s'en vont
Je demeure...

This evening the high tide comes with the falling of night.
The half of canal-side pavement sinks in the shallow water.

Walking beside the night canal makes me remind the old famous American mystery. Cornell Woolrich's Night Has A Thousand Eyes. And I could listen the Night Has A 1000 Eyes of Horace Silver in my ears.

I lost my way in the Futyu city. I found a station in the distance in the darkness. I walked for that direction. But the narrow lane wouldn't pass through. I turned myself to walk back the root. Then I felt myself being watched by someone.
