曲目に続くタイトルは同時期の収録曲を収めたアルバム、赤字タイトルはお薦め曲です
Impulse の99枚目はアルバム未収録の曲を寄せ集めたレコード、まとまりは有りませんが結構聴き所のある一枚で楽しめます。ボツになった曲と言っても99枚から選んでいるので「何故この曲がボツ?」も当然有ります。例えば A2. Trey Of Hearts を聴いていると「いつの間にかレコードが "A-15 COUNT BASIE AND THE KANSAS CITY 7" に変わっている」と勘違いさせる程の "A-15" に収録も違和感の無い良い曲、他の曲も出来が良いので既発売 Impulse 盤のオムニバスと言われても通用する内容です。
個人的には B3. Freedom 収録が目玉、C.Mingus のナレーション付きと一癖有りますが B.Ervin のソロも聴くことが出来る嬉しい収録曲です。
