これは、数日前の出来事です。
裕也は、いつものように教会の日曜礼拝の風景にいた。
神父アドウェの講義が終わりに近づき、挨拶に変わった。
「今、私達は、主を讃えん。」
「今日は、ここまで。」
裕也は、教会の真中くらいの席の中央の通路に側に出やすいように座っていた。
(不届き者め！退席しやすさ重視かい。)筆者の声。
裕也の前に一人の僧が近づく。
一続きの布で出来ている灰色の僧服、少し茶色の汚れが裾についている。
教えの実践者に見える。
鼻が少し大きく、目ははっきりしていて、ちっと日に焼けた茶色の肌色をしていた。
彼は、日差しの中を歩いている証拠がある。
アジア系の顔つきをしている。
右手に、何かを持っている。
何か見えにくい。少し、風景がぼやけている。
「私の名前は、アジェスタ。
あなたの声は、心に響く。
送りたい物があります。
住所と名前を書いてください。」
僧は、紙と鉛筆を差し出した。
手に持っていたものは、それであった。
（個人情報を書いて渡して大丈夫かな？
でも、会いに来るくらいだから、
信用しても良いよね。）
裕也は、紙に住所と名前を書き僧に渡した。
「私は、裕也と言います。
それは、どんな贈り物ですか？」
僧「はははは」

「はぁ！！！」
声が遠のく。
そこで、裕也は、目を覚ました。

裕也は、数日前の夢をすっかり忘れていた。
そして、今、手紙が届いた。
（この手紙。夢に見た人。アジェスタから。
会いに来てほしいのかな？
あ。ペンダントが入っている。）
手紙の封筒の重さは、このペンダントの重さである。
ペンダントは、黒の鎖に丸い金の板。そこに十字架。
真ん中に座禅を組み合掌した僧侶の姿。
背景には、寺院の屋根らしきものが描かれている。
ネックレス。
（何の意味？）
金盤のついた鎖を握り締めポケットにしまった。
（本当に、会いに来て欲しいのかな？）

裕也は、手紙をもらった日に、また、夢を見た。

イエスは、振り返った。
「裕也 私たちが争っていたと思いますか？」
「真意は、一つです」
「私たちは皆、少し不思議な法を説く」

裕也は、目を覚ました。
（インドに行ってみるか？）
裕也は、インドに行く決意をした。
（また、会社を休まないといけない。係長は怒るかな？）
