裕也は、心を決め、心の迷いを払った。
少し歩くと、今度は、コンビニがある。
コンビニに電気が点いていた。
看板が煌々（こうこう）と光っていた。
（入ってみるか。何か買って行こう）
裕也は、コンビニに入った。
棚には、お菓子が並んでいる。
奥には、弁当。
アイスお入れたボックスがある。
色々な飲み物や酒類も置かれている。
（自分が住んでる街のコンビニと同じだ。）
（何が良いかな？）
（そうだ、ワインにしよう。
お祝い気分？
そんな場合じゃないけど、まあいいや）
裕也は、ワインの瓶（びん）を３本抱えてレジに向かった。
誰もいない。
「すいません すいません 店員はいますか」
返事はなかった。
どこへ行っても『王のルール』がある。
人に見本を見せなければならない。

裕也は、お金を２千円置いてコンビニを出ることにした。

ワインの瓶を２つ捨て、
1本だけ持って路地へと走った。
しばらく走ると公園があった。
公園は、木々で覆（おお）われていた。
（ここで暫く隠れよう。
でも、もし私がとらえられたらどうしよう）
裕也は、手に持ったワインの瓶を柵にぶつけた。
それは、片を飛び散らせわれた。

裕也は、手に持っているワインの瓶を割った。
瓶は、口から3分の１を残して鋭く切り立っている。
（武器になるかな）
彼は少し思考が止まった。
（俺は、何をしようとしているのだ。
こんな凶器を使っては、
相手を傷つけてしまう。
それは、どんな相手でも、そんな行動を犯してはならない。
それは、罪の行動だ）
裕也は、ぎりぎりのとっころでその行動をしないことを思い留めた。

裕也は、手に持っている瓶の欠片を捨てた。
「裕也。見つけたぞ」
ふと気づくと魔族の警備隊が公園を囲んでいた。
「私は、アイリア王女に会いに来ただけだ」
裕也は、警備隊に言った。
だが、そんなことが通じる相手とは思っていない。
「あなた達は、仏法を行ずると誓った者から蘇らせられた。
その事を知らねばならない。
あなた方は、仏法者なのです。
過ちを犯せば罪は大きい。
あなたがたは、仏国土を築かねばならない」
裕也は、言い放った。
「俺たちは、悪魔だ。
そんなこと知るか」警備隊は、叫ぶ。
「蘇らせられた時、仏法を信じると誓ったはずだ。
忘れたか！」裕也は、激怒した。
「う。分からん」警備隊は、どうするか迷う。
「四の五の言うな。やれぇー」
警備隊は、女王の命令に従うことに決めた。
魔族の警備隊は、裕也に襲い掛かる。
一人、二人、三人、四人、五人と裕也は、払いのけた。
「なんて力だ。普通の人間か」
倒された警備隊が裕也の足を抑えた。
次々と数の力で圧し掛かる。
とうとう裕也は、警備隊に抑え込まれた。
裕也の体の上には、５０人ともあろう警備隊が圧（の）し掛かっていた。
