３人は門を開けた。
中は光に包まれていた。
白く輝く絹をまとつた人が現れる。
「私の名は、イエント」
イエントは、挨拶した。
「ようこそ。
光の子、闇の子。
魔族の王になる者よ。」
３人は会釈した。
イエントは、話を続けた。
「ここは、アクティスとサンデイアから、始まった洞窟。
光の種族と闇の種族の故郷。
私たちは、ここから民を送り出してきました。
それは、未来の為であり、歴史でもある。」
エジェは、尋ねる。
「ここが、私の故郷であることは分かりました。
私たちを呼んだ理由は何ですか？」
イエントは、その問いを予想していたように落ち着き払って答える。
「ひとつの時を告げる記録がある。
光の種族の子と闇の種族の子が、そろって帰ってきたとき、
その証は、古の機械（最終マシーン）を動かすときです。
そして、この時は全ての始まりと一致する。」
４人は、奥のホールに移動した。
その中には、古の機械が沢山あった。
ほとんどの機械は、光、動いてるように思えた。
ただ、中央の機械だけは、静寂の中、止まっていた。
イエントは、３人を中央に招き寄せ、中央の機械の操作盤の前にメンディアとエジェを立たせた。
操作盤には、右の手形と左の手形が印されていた。
イエントは、２人に促す。
「そこに２人の手を置いてください。
メンディアは右手、エジェは左手です。」
メンディアとエジェが二人の手をそえて乗せる。
「闇と光の交わりだ。」
エジェから青い光、メンディアから黄白の光が発せられる。
手から機械へ吸い込まれていく。
やがて、機械本体も何筋にも金色の線が光だす。
そして、全ての機械に広がっていく。
機械は始動した。
イエントは、３人に感謝した。
「ありがとう。これで、使命を果せる。」
そして、彼は、３人を案内し、最初の広場まで送り届けた。
いままで、黒く闇に閉ざされていた部屋や廊下に日の光が差し込んでいた。
エジェントが待っていた。
イエントは、皆に言う。
「光と闇は、混ざり合って一つになる時が来た。
我々は、旅立てねばならぬ。」
エジェントは、改めて３人に感謝の意を表す。
「裕也、エジェ、メンディア。ありがとう。
お別れの時が来ました。
裕也。未来で、また、合いましょう。」
３人は、名残惜しかったが別れを告げてミディアムをでた。
イエントとエジェントが、３人を地表まで送ってくれた。
イエントは、最後に一言。
「それでは、また会う日まで。」
入口からミディアム。いや、ソースの都市が消えた。
空は、雲がなく澄んでいた。
ソースの墓標が消える。
次元移動したのだ。
