Pelni timetable 2016 - Wilis (general-*****)

2016-09-01 05:50:51 | Weblog

We are now going to look at what Wilis does. She is the last boat we are potentially interested in.

Chart is as follows.

This is interesting, but about the only way I can  think of getting onto this route is to turn up, somehow, at Makassar, either by another boat, or fly there.

Case closed for the moment.

Pelni timetable 2016 - Tilongkabila (general-*****)

2016-09-01 05:49:57 | Weblog

Tilongkabila is Bitung based.

Starting there, she goes south along the eastern coast of Surawesi and and when she reaches Bima she returns north, but comes back dwon again along the same routes.

Then, she overshoots Bima to go as far as Dempasar. After that she return to Bitung all the way along the same routes.

This overshooting leg is coloured in blue, as shown on the second chart.

It may be that she picks up tourists in Bali and Lombok? Interesting, if you can time your stay in one of these places.

Case closed for the moment.

Pelni timetable 2016 - Tatamailau (general-****)

2016-09-01 05:48:13 | Weblog

Tatamailau is also interesting. Tatamailau is Sorong based. She visits a lot of ports along the western coast of Indoneaisan Papua New Guinea and returns to Sorong, but then goes north to Morotai and ends her voyage in Bitung, northern Surawesi.

See first chart.

If you are interested in Papua New Guinea this might be it. See the second half as follows.

This last leg is also interesting. Case is closed until further scruitiny.
