Melanda hatiku
Tersusun nada
Irama dan lagu
Walau hanya sederhana
Tetapi tak mengapa
Moga dapat membangkitkan
Sedarlah kamu wahai insan
Tak mungkin hilang
Irama dan lagu
Bagaikan kembang
Sentiasa bermadu
Andai dipisah
Lagu dan irama
Lemah tiada berjiwa

「The stirring of my soul」(英訳)「魂をかきたてるもの」
The stirring of my soul
Overcomes my heart
Arranged by the notes
Of rhythm and song
If it's only modest
Nevermind
Perhaps it could stir
Realise all you mortals
Never will they vanish
Rhythm and song
It will bloom
It will always linger
If they be seperated
The song and rhythm and song
They'll be soulless and weak
And empty

Pop opera singer Patrizio Buanne returns to charm Malaysian fans with a whirlwind promo visit this week.
FIVE years ago newcomer pop opera singer Patrizio Buanne crooned his way into the hearts of music fans with his charming personality and rich baritone.
With over a million album sales to his credit, Buanne has become an established name in Europe and Asia.
He now enters an exciting new stage of his career with the release of his self-titled third album, which is tipped for US crossover success.
The new collection follows his previous albums The Italian (2005) and Forever Begins Tonight (2007) and represents his first release as part of a new global deal inked with Warner Music Entertainment.
Produced by Humberto Gatica (Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and Michael Bublé) and recorded at Westlake and Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, the album both pays homage to Buanne’s influences while also offering original compositions.
The album highlights contemporary interpretations of classics from the great Italian and American songbooks including Mambo Italiano, Fly Me To The Moon, Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman and Never, Never, Never alongside new songs such as Diane Warren’s Why Did You Have To Be?
“My first album (The Italian) and second album (Forever Begins Tonight) were dedicated to Italian music,” explained Buanne, 31, over the phone during a recent tour stop in London.
“So in my third album I’m not just an Italian who sings Italian songs. But I’m this singer who listens to all songs and musical genres.
“It is also an honour to be a part of the legacy and tradition of the Warner Music family – the company that worked with the great idols (Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, etc) who inspired me, and I can’t wait to share my new material with my fans around the world, old and new,” he added.
Buanne, who relishes the touring regime, is all geared up for his Asian tour this month, which includes a Kuala Lumpur promo junket (this Friday through to Sunday). On his Facebook page, which has over 3,000 fans, the singer noted that he will be suited up to thrill his fans in this region.
His upcoming Kuala Lumpur stop will be his fourth trip to the country since 2005, his repeat visits proving his popularity here.
Buanne, who was born in Vienna, Austria, considers his real home to be Naples, Italy. But to his credit, Buanne is well known in the pop opera circles worldwide.
Oozing charisma and sex appeal, Buanne has also undergone a revamp in image for his new record deal. No black tie, indeed. These days, he looks more casual in a tight T-shirt and trendy clothes. But it isn’t looks to drive the music, this young man has real talent.
Greater variety: ‘I wanted to sing and interpret the songs as if they were written for me. This album has variety and not just Patrizio the Italian singer but Patrizio the young guy,’ says Patrizio Buanne.
For this new album, Buanne worked with veteran music producer, Gatica, a man who understood Buanne’s vision from the very first day they met.
Their collaboration worked out well with Buanne putting his own creative stamp on the Italian and American classics, alongside some stunning new compositions.
In many ways, Buanne, who is a baritone singer, is trying hard to keep a pop legacy alive. Back in the 1940s and 50s, pop music was filled with baritone crooners like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and the like. You don’t hear voices like that much in mainstream music these days.
There are certainly still many good songs for baritones, as he revealed, but the pop-centred baritone singers themselves have become fewer and farther between.
“I wanted to sing and interpret the songs as if they were written for me. You know, make my own mark on them.
“In other words, the songs in the album are my personal favourites. That’s why I selected them. This album has variety and not just Patrizio the Italian singer but Patrizio the young guy,” he added, with a laugh.
And to get the sound he wanted, Buanne recorded the album at the Capitol Studios and Westlake Studios in California.
Why there?
“Because these studios have certain sounds which are unique to them and I can only get those sounds there,” said Buanne, who was obviously thrilled with the Capitol Studios recording experience (home to many of Sinatra’s recordings).
For the new record, he took about five months (January to May last year) to complete the album.
Buanne is no stranger to historic studios. He recorded his debut album The Italian at Abbey Road in London alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
In Britain, The Italian was certified double gold with sales in excess of 200,000.
His second album Forever Begins Tonight continued his success as it climbed into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top World Music Albums chart.
Again featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the album was particularly notable for featuring the first and only Italian language interpretation of Robbie Williams’ signature song Angels.
His zestful versions of Fly Me To The Moon and You’re My Everything from his latest album are bound to attract new fans, whether from the pop jazzy or lite classical crowd. It isn’t hard to see how Buanne has redefined a new era for romantic and emotive music.
As a performer, Buanne is very much a new-school romantic crooner and all round entertainer, which places him in the Michael Buble bracket.
Fluent in six languages, Buanne’s success across the globe has resulted in sold-out tours and unforgettable nights at the Sydney Opera House, the Esplanade in Singapore, the Kennedy Centre in Washington and the Lincoln Centre in New York.
“My previous albums were big sellers. And I really hope fans will like my new album.”
Remaining as candid as ever, Buanne does recall his past visits to Malaysia and he is raring to meet his fans here this week.
“I love Malaysia, the shopping malls, the seafood and I know Getaran Jiwa. I can sing that song!”
He launched into the evergreen Malay pop song over the phone, sounding all P. Ramlee-like with an Italian accent.
Well, the Malaysian pop market did embrace Buanne’s music when he first burst upon the scene in 2005 and you can bet that this affable and handsome singer isn’t about to forget his early supporters here.
“I really want to give my best on this (Malaysian) visit,” he concluded.
※ Patrizio Buanne has meet-and-greet fans sessions at Movie Magic, 1 Utama (new wing concourse level), Petaling Jaya, Selangor, this Saturday at 7pm, Rock Corner, Gardens, Kuala Lumpur at 8.30pm and Speedy at Pavillion, KL this Sunday at 5pm.
You can purchase Patrizio Buanne’s new album during these meet-and-greet sessions and redeem exclusive passes for his showcase (on a first-come-first-served basis).
Buanne will be performing a special showcase with songstress Noryn Aziz as his guest at the Grand Ballroom Hilton Kuala Lumpur this Sunday at 8pm. For exclusive passes, contact Warner Music Malaysia (Tel: 03 -7721 2615).

~It's a breathtaking video which explains where the origin of crooning sprang from,
who made history and who continues now in the 21st century its legacy~
Crooning is a style
that has it's roots in the Bel Canto of Italian Opera
but with the emphasis on subtle vocal nuances and phrasing found in JAZZ
as opposed to elaborate ornamentation
or sheer acoustic volume found in Opera House
Crooning became the dominant form of popular vocal music
from the late 1920's to the early 1960's
coinciding with the advent of radio broadcasting
and electrical recording
and love was never the same again
Artists who kept the tradition
of vocal entertainment and romantic singing alive
Bing Crosby(ビング・クロスビー)the elegant gentleman
who touched the lives and hearts of a generation
with his beautiful songs and movies
He is most famous for 'White Christmas'
The Cheeky charm of Ol' Blue Eyes...
Frank(フランク・シナトラ)'s Classy, Classic and Sexy confidence
won the hearts of legions of women the world over
Sophisticated artistic and a film idol
Dean(ディーン・マーティン) was the epitome of crooning and his songs
still touch hearts the world over
A soulful Elvis(エルヴィス・プレスリー)lost in Gospel songs the boy
from humble beginnings who became 'The King'.
His love songs melted generations of hearts..
Tom Jones(トム・ジョーンズ)made crooning sexy
and girls the world over fell for the handsome welshman
And now as the Fathers look on...
the torch is passed...
to another...
My White Christams passed the legacy of song
to 「Ol' Blue Eyes」 who later passed it
to 「The King」 who later passed it
to 「Mr It's not Unusual」,「Mr Atomic」
then to our 「Mr Il Mondo」
A New Legend,
Italian through and through
Mr Il Mondo
A son of Napoli
Gifted and Intelligent with a powerful voice
His handome looks stealing hearts across the world
TIMELESS AND SOPHISTICATED
