江東区の清澄町側から見ると、橋の曲線がよくわかります。
吊り橋というものの、ケーブルで吊っているわけではなく、鉄製の部品が
ボルトで連結されて緩やかなカーブを描いています。
優雅さと力強さがよくバランスがとれていると思います。

とくに小名木川が隅田川に合流するところに掛かる萬年橋のたもとから見る
清洲橋はとても綺麗です。
夜はライトが点灯されて、川面に映るライトも趣があります。
シーバスが釣れる場所でもあるので、ルアーを投げる人のすがたもちらほら。
国の重要文化財にも指定された貴重な橋です。

高橋とかいて「たかばし」と読みます。江東区を南北に走る清澄通りが、
小名木川にかかる橋です。
葛飾北斎の「たかばしのふじ」という浮世絵にも描かれた橋で、昔は
橋の向うに富士山がみえたとか。
平坦に見えますが、結構な勾配があります。大江戸線と半蔵門線の
清澄白河駅からすぐの、深川のランドマーク的な橋です。
"takabasi" is right pronunciation. kiyosumi-dori going through Koto-ku
in the north and south is going to intersect onagigawa-river, and
there is "takabasi".
It is the bridge which was drawn on the ukiyoe print called
"takabasi no fuji" of Hokusai Katsushika.
Mt. Fuji was seen in the other side of the bridge in old days.
It seems to be flat, but there is considerably an incline.
It is a bridge of the landmark of Fukagawa that is near to
kiyosumi-shirakawa station of Ooedo Line and Hanzomon Line.
