Students from Grade3
We divide the clay for 3 parts, the bottom, the sides, and an piece of clay in our hands.
We are using some sticky clay.
It is nice to feel the roughness of the clay.
The flat piece we make for the bottom easily sticks to the desk.
It will look nice if we keep working hard.
We finally finished the shape.
We will dry it for 2 weeks, and then bake at 800’C.
It will get hard when we bake it, and we can wash it.
B組の様子と作品です。
紙の帯から球の形を作り、そこから飾りや生き物にしていく内容です。
「この長ーーい紙から丸い形をつくります！」
と先生が言うと
「えーっできっこないよー！」
と声があがりました。
まずは帯状の紙を丸めます。
瞬間接着剤ではないので、糊付けした部分を挟んでくっつけます。
手の合わせ方がお祈りに似ているので
「天におられる私たちの神よ…」
とお祈りが始まりました。
この輪の形にした紙を組み合わせます。
すると
ボールの形になります。
使っている紙が張りのある丈夫な画用紙なので本物のボールのよ
うに跳ねますし、転がります。
この球の形を『卵』ということにしてそこからいろんな飾りや生き物が
生まれたよ、といきたかったのですが…
出来上がるや否やみんなボールにして遊び始めていました。
少し遊んだあと、本題に戻って自分で思いついた『何か』にしていき
ます。
輪を増やして彩り豊かにしている人もいます。
リボンをつけた人もいます。
つなげてぶら下がる飾りにしている人もいます。
顔をつくっている人もいます。
帯をいろんな使い方しているのがすばらしい！
発想が豊かですね！！

今は面接期間中です。
お家の人を学校で待つ間、図工室で浄水通りスケッチの続きを
がんばる人たちがいました。
自分の気に入った色が表現できるまで何度も調整しています。
いつもは38人いる中でたった二人で活動しています。
集中してずいぶん進められたようです。

C組の様子です。
おしゃれなお店が多くどこを描こうか迷っている人もいました。
浄水通りは写真でも分かるとおり坂道です。
歩き回るだけでも結構たいへんです。
決めていたお店がまだ開店前だったり、描こうと思っていた場所にたくさんの
人が集まっていたり…探す理由もいろいろです。
校長先生がいらしゃいました。
頑張っている一人ひとりに声をかけてくださいました。
また、お店の人も出てきてくださいました。
「描いてくれてありがとうね、」
と声をかけられると照れていました。
短い時間でしたが有意義なスケッチができたようです。

Students from Class A
They wrote their names on our tool set.
They were nervous at making a mistake and spoiling it.
I said not to worry and any small mistakes were fine.
We made our first piece of work from a thin piece of paper in the Art set.
First draw a pattern.
Colourful polka dots were popular!
I said the white can also be used in the middle
“Really! I’ll draw!”
Someone happily said.
Students know they can draw onto white paper, but also found we can draw onto dark paper too.
We cut around the shape of our hand.
“I did it teacher, It’s like gloves!”
voices went up here and there.
I enjoyed seeing lots of colours and patterns!
