I was astonisshed with this serving at a sea-food restaurant near the
Hanzoumon(半蔵門) station. They use genuine Wasabi.
I don't want to admit this is a modern style of Japanese cooking culture.

Insect photographer Kazuo Unno says, " Tokyo is a pradise of insect. Almost
of capitals are now anti-pested so much as not to survive insect. If they
could see a few creatures there, the variation would be limitted. But in Tokyo
they can watch and take photo the richness of nature. "
I think so.

#046 Mikoshi (神輿)

I was suprised to find a big mikosi ( portable miniature shrine ) in a
sewer system constraction site in Monday morning.
There are three mikosis. The biggest one is to be carried by adult men.
A bigger one is by women or highschool boys. The smallest is by little
children under 12.
The previous day they held a local shrine's festival. The weather was rain
all day long. They need a big house for these mikosis from rainwater.
We must carry them back to park. It is my first experience in my life to carry
Omikosi. As the workers are taller than me, I can only support lightly
one of the bars on my shoulder.

A shell is left on the wall with marks of liana.
Someday a storm would come and wash or blow them away.
Then this summer would be completely end.

They are on the counter of a chicken shop.
The butcher laughs and says, " I picked them up in my garden. Kaki is
too early to pick for eating, but I like the green color would match
pomegranate's red."
(I think they sells the best chiken , especially as for the fried one,
in all Asagaya or in Tokyo. )

#043 Le bourdon errant. (さまよえる鐘)

This bell was casted in 1690 ( = 元禄 3).
They carried it to the Nanyoji (Southern sea temple) on Saipan in 1937.
It was missed in the result of Japanese imigrant's suicide tactics against
U.S.A. in 1944.
A Japnese American woman found it at Odessa, Texas in 1965.
(I cann't imagine an American soldier could transport this big bell as a
war souvenir. )
In 1974 it was returned the origin temple that is famous as Konnyaku Enma.

#042 Le Jizo de sel. (塩地蔵)

These stone images covered with salt are in the Konnyaku Enma( 蒟蒻閻魔).
Anybody with physical troubleness touches the salt with a holly stick (you
could see it in the upper left of the photo) and do at their wrong part of
body, and they would be cured soon or later.
Konnyaku Enma is the famous religious spot in Tokyo. People with some trouble
comes here to offer Konnyaku (a japanese food, without it they couldn't cook
Oden plate) and pray the hell King for help them. A pack of konnyaku is sold
with about 150 yens.

Hot! I hate hot season. Do me like you like.
"I advise you 'd better diet."
"I 'd like hotness rather than diet. Don't say me the word!"
At Asagaya (阿佐ヶ谷南).
