サヴィル・ロウ （Savile Row)

ロンドンも既に４回目？くらいですが、
これまで行かなかったところにも足を運んでみたり。

背広の語源ともなった、仕立て屋の通り、サヴィル・ロウに行ってみました。
思ったより質素な感じでしたが、通りを歩いている紳士の服装などを見ると、
やはり、本場なのかも？と感じたり。

1番地のギーブズ・アンド・ホークスで仕立ててみたかったんですが、
『オーダーは８００ポンドから』とか書いているのを見て、すごすごと退散・・・
いずれは欲しいなぁ・・・

This may be the 4th time of my stay in London.

I visited Savile Row, the origin of the name of SEBIRO, japanese name of a suit.
It looks simpler but gents walking along the street appeared real.^^
Yeah, here is the tailer's street in the world.

I wanted to have a new suit tailered at Gieves and Hawks;
but it said "The order is from 800 pounds..."
Of course, I walked out of the shop immediately...

Hope I would be able to afford it sometime.

ロード・オブ・ザ・リング (The Load Of The Rings)

どうもです。ロンドンから速報ですー。

イギリス初日はロンドン泊。午後に到着して夕方には早速、ミュージカル鑑賞へ♪
ｔｋｔｓが閉まる直前だったせいか、あまりぱっとしたチケットがなかったので、
『ロード・オブ・ザ・リング』を観にいってみました。

思ったより仕掛けが大掛かりで、舞台には円状に上下に動く台座がありーの、
ゴラムは舞台の上からまるでスパイダーマンのように壁をつたって降りーの、
普通にはない特殊効果？が多くて、意外と楽しめました。

ただ、時差ぼけで眠い、眠い・・・最後は観ないで聞いていただけかも？
昔は時差ぼけもあまり気にしなかったんですけどね。歳かなぁ（爆）^^;

Breaking news from London!

First night in the UK is in London; I went watching musical.
As tkts was almost closed, I couldn't get the ticket I wanted.
So, watched "The Load Of The Rings."

It was more interesting and amazing than I expected.
The stage was moving circularly and up/downward.
One of the characters is coming from the ceiling downward like a spiderman.
Lots of special effects made me satisfied with it.

However, I was so sleepy due to the jet lag that I couldn't watch well at the last scene...
I used to be better; maybe I got older...^^;
