いわしの丸干し sardines

The grilled sardine is my favorite morning menu.
Last year in Japan very small amount of sardine were fished.
In Tokyo we could hardly find sardin at many supermarkets or fish shops.
But this year sardine have returned.
I am very happy to have a sardin in the morning.
I am very very happy to drink a glass of beer with a grilled sardin in the evening.

国鉄分割２０周年記念定食 repas commemoratif

This year is the 20th year since the Japanese Railroad Company became a private management company.
So at a chinese restaurant in the Tokyo station they serve a lunch-set for the celebration of the 20th year. The price is twenty hundred yens.
The taste is not so good.

In a hot afternoon, I take these transparent cakes out from the refrigerator.
I watch them for a while and have them with a glass of cold barley tea.
How happy I am then!
