A Japanese cake, Kintsuba was firstly made at Kyoto in the Edo era.
The first name was Gin-tsuba (silver sword guard) and the first shpe was ellipse. The shape changed soon into square.
At Edo, they changed the name with Kin-tsuba (gold sword guard).
