パタゴニアの名品の一つトレントシェルの御紹介！
Introducing Torrent Shell, one of Patagonia's masterpieces!
今回僕がセレクトしましたのは上記のWAX REDとSAGE KHAKIになります。
僕もトレントシェルは30代の頃から愛用しており、一番最初に購入したのは確かVENTURAのパタゴニアの本店
GREAT PACIFIC IRON WORKSだっと記憶しております。
一番最初に購入したのは確か赤色で、其の当時はMADE IN USAでしたね。
其の当時は未だパタゴニアも米国製が多かったのですが、昨今は素材の生産地などで作られることが多いですね。
話はトレントシェルに戻しまして、トレントシェルを購入された方で一番多い悩みは裏地の剥離ですよね。
僕も悩まされておりました。
雨天時や肌寒い秋口などに頻繁に使用するので、僕の場合などは2年くらいで潰れてしまう事が多かったですね。
一度、剥離が始まりますとドンドン剥がれてきますので、その部分は雨なども侵入してきますので、雨天時に使用
出来なくなりまして、買い替えを余儀なくしておりました。

パタゴニアのシェルは基本的に手を上に挙げても裾が上に一緒に上がらないシステムで作られておりますね。
登山やトレイルランニングなどで激しい動作にもシェル自身がぶれない作りになっておりますね。

雨天時にキャップなど被るのですが、雨対策に、その際フードをジャストなサイズ感に調整しますとランニングの際に
ストレスもフリーとなりますよ！

裾にはドローコードも装備しておりますので、真冬などに冷たい外気をシャットアウトしてくれますね。

実際、ボストンなどに行けばBDシャツにチノパンやジーパンにパタゴニアのシェルなどの着熟しは本当に多いですしね。
BDシャツはリネンコットンのマドラス素材になりまして勿論ボーイズ別注になります。
足元、PADMORE&BARNESに別注しましたWillowなどお勧めですね。
