実際、ジャマイカでは
シガレットよりガンジャのほうが安価で手に入る。

シガレット50＄に対してガンジャ５＄程度。

だから、街を歩くとまず
「Give me a cigarette」と声をかけられる。
手にはガンジャが煙をくゆらせている。

ガンジャはラスタファリにしてみれば
「精神の解放」を与える自然の恵み。

シガレットは単なる嗜好品。
人工物は高価…ということか。
