ラスコー２ (Lascaux II)

さてさて、今回の旅の最終目的地はここ、ラスコー２でした。
4人組の少年達が、迷い込んだ犬を探していて見つけたという洞窟壁画。
先史時代、クロマニヨン人の手によるものだと言われています。

ここでは英語のガイドツアーに参加。
簡単な説明の後、同じ技法・素材で本物そっくりそのままに
複製された壁画を見ることが出来ます。
（本物のラスコー壁画は現在観光不可）
1万7千年前のこんな壁画が描かれたとは本当に驚きです。

見学の帰りにはなんと、Inseadの同級生のグループに遭遇！
いやはや世界は狭いですねぇ。。。

This is our last destination, Lascaux II,
the cave pictures found by four boys looking for their stray dog.
It is considered drawn by Cro-Magnon over 17,000 years ago.

In the English guide tour, we could learn the material and way of painting
and see the replica of Lascaux pictures.
(The real Lascaux is not allowed to visit now due to preservation)
It is really amazing for them to draw these pictures such a long time ago!

One more surprise came when we finished the tour.
We happened to see our fellow Inseaders there!
Well, it's a small world...

ボルドー (Bordeaux)

サンテミリオンから車で30分強？でボルドーの街に到着します。
さすが世界に名立たる街、清潔だし、歴史的な建物鑑賞も楽しめます。

ここでは友達の強い希望でワインスクールに参加。
時間の都合上、フランス語での受講だったので、
ほとんどちんぷんかんぷん？
少しは理解できましたが、また来る機会があれば英語で再受講します・・・

Maybe 30 minutes drive from St-Emilion, you can arrive in Bordeaux.
The city is clean and well organized.
You can also enjoy watching historical buildings and so on.

Here, my friend and I participated in the short course at wine school
(because this is her main objective here).
However, as we did not have enough time, we had to take FRENCH course.
Of course, not well understood...
It was beneficial, but I should take ENGLISH course when visiting here again...

サンテミリオン (St-Emilion)

さて、ラングドック（ケルシー）地方を後にして、向かった先は大西洋岸、
まずはサンテミリオン（ちなみに世界遺産）に行きました。

ボルドーの右岸と言われるこの街は石造りで可愛く、
周りはワイン畑に囲まれていると言うとてもリラックスできるところでした。
街中のワイン屋さんでは、もちろん試飲も出来、
いくつか友達と一緒に買ってしまいました。

The next destination after Languedoc (Quercy) region,
we visited St-Emilion, the part of Cote d'Atrantique.

The region is called 'the right side of Bordeaux';
and the town itself is built with stones and very cute,
surrounded by the vine yards.
In the town, you can try to taste the wines before buying them.
My friend and I bought some wines there, of course.
