Can't Kimono to be as office working attire?

2017-02-14 02:57:50 | キモノ・spirit
You know what? I am hired at non Japanese manufacturer as an part time office clerk enable in English. Anyway. I had my own reason of wearing kimono for this morning as you see, and I went to the office during the lunch break with my formal kimono on, and changed into western clothing. When I leave office this evening) an office clerk(secretary?) followed me leaving the office with very blaming and insulting face and said,

"Never ever come in to office in Kimono, because our customer might visiting us(means, we are ashamed to be seen any employees come in office in kimono attire)

This means, as you see, there's a huge auto manufacturer in Hiroshima, and if you come to Hiroshima, if you are not liked by this strong company, it means you are dead, lose every business opportunity, so you need to act like a slave, obey to this company, and no willing to be seen whatever unusual things to be asked,

"Hey, you are strange, do you have common sense?"

by this huge company.

See? Wearing kimono, no matter of what kind of classes, regarded as party costume by these stupid industry and being afraid clients who wish to entertain this huge Hiroshima company are tense to avoid every unnecessary stimulating.

Let me explain to you. Kimono can be classified in every classes. From formally enough to meet emperor to the kinds of working classes. But, nowadays, majority Japanese don't know it. Just regard any kimono as just party Halloween costume or ceremony costume.

And, employees at these huge companies are not dressed refined. Dirty, casual western clothing, their shoes, heels are broke to wear as slippers, not wearing properly, not safe at all for safe emergency evacuations, very filthy, just as typical old mechanics. But they are completely okay for they look like typical working blue colors.

I really think they are silly and heading for nowhere.

I , curse myself, why am I in Hiroshima??
