焼き物に挑戦！（2年生）その4

文化祭まであと一か月。

図工室の周りは展示する作品にあふれかえります。

倉庫の中や段ボールに納められた作品が久しぶりにお日様

にあたります。

2年Ａ組の子たちが自分たちの焼き物を見つけました。

「あ、あった！」

「多分、これじゃないかな…」

「（自分のどれか）忘れちゃった！」

と作品との再会を喜んでいました。

 

第3回 雙葉小学校 姉妹校児童絵画交流展（横浜）

3回目の姉妹校との児童作品交流、今回は横浜雙葉小学校の

作品が展示できました。

今週の月曜日（1日）から１Ａ前の2階ホールに展示しています。

昨年まで横浜雙葉で教えていらっしゃったＫ先生は

「あ、〇〇さん！（の作品）だ！」

と作品を見ながら懐かしそうに、そしてうれしそうにしていらっしゃ

いました。

作品を鑑賞した6年生のＫさんは

「これで2年生なんてすごい…この後どうなるの…（学年が上が

るにつれてどんどんすごい作品ができるのだろうな、）」

と言っていました。

また、4年生のＭさんは

「色がきれい！カラフル！！」

と色彩の鮮やかさに心打たれていました。

 

子どもたちが帰ると廊下やホールの電気は消灯され、先生たち

が上り下りする時だけ階段の電気を付けます。するとちょうど作

品群を照らすのですが、暗闇の中に明るい作品群だけが目に飛

び込んできます。Ｍさんと同じようにその色彩の美しさに心うたれ、

思わず足がとまります。

Pottery Challenge!!!(Grade 6)

Students from Class A.

We made pots with a hand powered wheel.

I couldn’t take many pictures because my hands got dirty too.

Everyone was working enthusiastically to make their bowls.

Taking the bowl off the wheel is quite tense.

 Often it can’t be taken off because of the weight and stickiness of the clay.

It is surprisingly difficult to get some good work.

You can’t write your name if you don’t cooperate.

 With the bowl finished we can now work more on shaping.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Drawing the post-man (Grade 1) Part 4

Students from Class A.

We will add colour to the sketch we did previously.

Before adding colour we had an exchange activity.

There were 3 things to think about.

1) This is where I think it is good.

2) Why do you have this here?

3) What does the picture say to you?

For 1 and 2 the students can just think ofa simple reason.

For 3 I want them to think more deeply about the picture.

I want them to use some imagination when looking at the picture.

 I heard lots of people saying they could hear the sound of the engine.

Some people thought the carwas not running so there wouldn’t be a sound.

Some of the observations were amazing!!

Such great imaginations!

 

We started trying to add colour thinking about the image we made in our heads of the car before it left.

The large amount of red across the car is impressive.

 The bike is covered in paint.

 The fun part of the bike is thinking about all the lines it had.

We made the most of a 40 minute lesson to try and get lots done.
