Appellant himself, Yamaguchi Takayuki

Full text of the statement of opinion
Ms. Shiori Ito (calling for help)

Ms. Shiori Ito claims that she has no memory of what happened from the time she used the restroom at the sushi restaurant that night to the time she woke up at the hotel at around 5:00 the next morning. It is very difficult for a third party to overturn the claim of the person who says she has no memory.

However, there are many obvious lies and contradictions in the claims about before and after the loss of memory.

For example, Mr. Ito says that the last thing he remembers is "leaning my head against the water tank in the toilet of a sushi restaurant. However, there is no water tank in the toilet of that sushi restaurant. Instead, there is a decorative shelf made of wooden boards, so it is impossible to sleep with your head resting on the toilet bowl.

This shows that Ms. Ito has a tendency to create things in her memory that do not actually exist, and to think of them as if they were true.

In fact, after leaving the restroom, Mr. Ito wandered around the restaurant barefoot, sat next to other customers and talked to them, and engaged in other annoying activities as a so-called drunk customer.

Not only me, but also the owner of the sushi restaurant clearly testified to this. There is no advantage for the owner to lie about such things. In short, you were just a drunk who drank too much, got drunk, and lost the memory of it.

Such a thing is a common mistake among human beings. Yet, you kept on affirming yourself, "I'm a strong drinker, I never get drunk, so I must have been drugged," and with your self-serving logic, you advertised to the world that you were drugged by Yamaguchi Takayuki for date rape.

Thanks to this, people all over the world think that I am a despicable person who assaults women by giving them suspicious drugs.

I have never done such a thing in my life, and I only learned about the existence of date rape drugs through your complaint.

You now call yourself a journalist. Then please show me the evidence that I was drugged.

Otherwise, please admit right here and now that you were just making up a story without any evidence or testimony. This is the least you can do to atone for the fact that I have been severely defamed by something that has absolutely no basis in fact. I hope that you will have the courage to tell the truth as a journalist.

I hope that you will have the courage to tell the truth as a journalist, and I hope that you will admit that your claim that your memory has returned after 5 a.m. is a lie. You were completely sober when you woke up that morning, so there is no excuse for your lack of clarity.

You claim that you woke up in the middle of a sexual assault against your will by me and ran to the bathroom. If that is the case, why didn't you call for help using the in-house phone located in front of the bathroom?

Also, in your book, you describe in great detail how I choked you, severely injured your knees, and made your nipples bleed. If that is the case.
(1) The bra that you submitted to the police should have had a luminol reaction, why don't you mention that?
(2) How could you wear on your bare skin the T-shirt of the man who raped you, seriously injured you, and almost killed you?
(3) Why are you walking normally on the security camera, without protecting your knee, when your knee was injured to the point of dislocation?
(4) Why didn't you report the rape at the front desk when it was so obvious that you had been sexually assaulted and physically injured while you were still conscious?
(5) Why did you file a complaint for quasi-rape instead of rape when you were sexually assaulted while conscious?

As you know, when you woke up that morning, you dressed yourself normally, talked to me normally, asked me to lend you a T-shirt because your blouse was raw, and then put it on and left normally.

That's why the security camera footage clearly shows them walking normally. And that's why, two days later, you said to me, "Thank you for your hard work. Did you get back to Washington safely? And that's why two days later, you sent me a very ordinary email, "Thanks for your hard work.

You have also rewritten your own memory of the morning's events, and created a damage that never happened.
You also rewrote your own memory of the morning's events, creating damage that never happened.

A water tank that never happened, a rape that never happened, a serious knee injury that never happened. Because of your lies and assumptions, I have been socially murdered and am suffering irreparable harm.

The first trial allowed for many lies and inconsistencies in Ms. Ito's claim, saying that it was due to confusion caused by unintended sexual intercourse. However, for example, whether she injured her knee or not is not a problem that can be solved by confusion of memory.

It is the unanimous opinion of knee specialists that a person who has suffered a serious knee injury that is on the verge of dislocation, as Ms. Ito claims, will continue to have severe pain until it heals or until painkillers are administered. That security camera footage clearly shows that Mr. Ito fabricated the knee injury in order to humiliate me.

Moreover, the medical records that match the video footage are still restricted from viewing, even the parts that have nothing to do with personal information, according to Ms. Ito's motion. I trust that the High Court will not succumb to the pressure of public opinion and will focus on the truth.

And you also have the technology to cover up your own memory alterations by covering up and distorting evidence. For example, in your book and in various media, you conceal the existence of the "thank you email". Why did you omit that e-mail from your book when you have published all the other e-mails?

The reason is, of course, that it is an inconvenient truth for you, reinforcing the fact that you left the hotel that morning after a very normal exchange. That night, you told me enthusiastically, "I don't care how many years it takes, I want to become a person like Mr. Yamaguchi, who can clearly call himself a journalist.

But two years later, you had already become a journalist.

In 2018, you directed a documentary about loneliness, which won a silver medal at the New York Festival. I also worked as a cameraman on a documentary about Peruvian soldiers with a passion for modified motorcycle racing, which won a Silver Award in the Sports & Recreation category.

I joined TBS in 1990 and started working in TV news as a news cameraman. So I know very well how difficult it is to work in video news.

Documentary production, in particular, is like an opera in the performing arts. Without a solid foundation in all aspects of reporting, video, audio, and editing, as well as a long history of experience and considerable funds, you will never be able to win an international award.

It was in my seventh year with the company that I was given the opportunity to work as a cameraman on a documentary film, an investigative report on crime victims. It was a short film of only five minutes, but even so, the filmmaker's intentions had to be expressed consistently in each and every image, a task that required a high level of filming skills and experience as a journalist. It wasn't until I had been with the company for 17 years that I was able to take on the role of a director who oversees the production of documentary programs.

But in 2015, a part-time student who said he wanted to be a journalist won two international awards, one as a director and the other as a cameraman, just over two years later.

You made a name for yourself in the world by attacking me using the technique of memory alteration, and now you live in a world of deceit and falsehood. That is your choice, and you may do as you please.

But the day will surely come when those lies will be exposed to the light of day. There are no geniuses in the world of journalism. Experience and hard work are the only things that make a good journalist.

If you really want to be a journalist, you will choose to face the truth with sincerity.

If that's the case, it's not too late for you to at least face the objective fact that there is absolutely no evidence that you were drugged with date rape drugs, and the truth that there was no assault in the morning.
