これが北斎の描いた萬年橋。構図がすごいですね。橋げたの向うに
富士山が見えます。

Composition is splendid.
You can watch Mt. Fuji in the distance from the
interval of the bridge.
清洲橋東詰めから北に向かうと萬年橋に出る。小名木川と隅田川が合流
するところにある。今は鉄骨の無骨な橋という印象であるが、昔から浮世絵
に描かれていた有名な橋である。
浮世絵にも葛飾北斎の富嶽三十六景の一枚と、歌川広重の亀が描かれて
いる一枚があるが、鶴は千年、亀は萬年を洒落たものなので、遊び心溢れ
るという意味では広重の絵の方が楽しい。

In there, Sumida River is going to join Onagigawa.
It was the bridge of the steel frame, but it was a famous bridge drawn
on the ukiyoe print in old days now.
There are two kinds to an ukiyoe print.
Hokusai Katsushika and Hiroshige Utagawa drew it.
A tortoise is drawn on the picture of Hiroshige.
The crane lives in 1000, and it is said that the tortoise lives for
10,000 years.
The picture of Hiroshige is a joke.
