A lady from the states, who lives in Hiroshima, were planning to buy a kimono which she'll probably need to wear for some presentations about her experiences in Japan, and she wished to make it in flattering one for herself. She came from Idaho state, and the weather there is quite hot, so I encouraged her to get one in cotton, which is okay for machine wash. And for this upcoming summer she is eager to spend in Japan, she wished to buy nice Yukata. We found a really nice one which shows the town's flower where she lives!! And we decided to buy Heko-Obi for both purposes, which is so easy to make a bow!! (She already mastered how to tie normal Obi beautifully though!!)
Besides the feedback below, she told me that she liked this service pretty much, since I don't belong to any kimono shops, so it's clear that I don't get any commission or anything, and she felt my opinion about choosing kimono were so honest, and by paying for the attending cost, she found herself she didn't need to feel bad about taking friend's time, but she could take her time to think well about what she really wanted.
Actually this was my very first time to accompany non-Japanese to a ”proper” price kimono store, and this client was not simply choosing from second hand shelves, but from rolls of fabric which cannot cancel after ordering, I felt a bit of pressure of helping her making right choice^^; But, from now on, I try not to overwhelm my clients too much by my strong preference towards kimono!

#6-I think that most foreigners are not looking to wear a kimono for a serious occasion, they are looking to wear it here in Japan and have a souvenir. So realizing that there is a cost/benefit ratio.
#7. You have strong energy, be careful to keep it from overpowering the client. It was great fun, I love kimono.
