試験勉強が相変わらず捗らないので、
今日はクラスの様子について話したいと思います。
欧米ではだいたいそうみたいですが、日本で体験したいわゆる講義形式の授業は少なくて、
学生と教授が相互に意見をぶつけ合うディスカッション形式のものが多いです。
もちろん、財務や会計、ミクロ経済などは講義中心になりますが、
学生がいっさいしゃべらないということは全くなく、
中にはしゃべるのを抑えきれない人もいます。^^;
また、教授次第ですが、カジュアルな雰囲気の授業が多く、
生徒主体でこれまで下記のようなイベント？も授業中に行われました。
・シャンパンペナルティー
Inseadでは、建設的でない発言をした人、授業中に寝てた人、
携帯電話を鳴らした人などにシャンパン１本寄贈のペナルティーを
与えることが通例となっています。僕も３本ほど寄贈しました・・・
で、集めたシャンパンは試験後などに皆に振舞われます。
・ブルシット・ビンゴ

『既存概念の外を見よ』、『大局観』などいわゆる専門的な流行言葉を
聞いたらビンゴの穴を埋めていき、揃ったら『ブルシット！！』と
叫ぶというもの。なかなか使わない言葉が多くて埋まらないのですが、
授業中に叫ぶのもなかなか勇気がいります（苦笑）。
・インド訛り限定
今週はデージー・ウィーク（インド、パキスタン、バングラデシュ）だったのですが、
週の最後の金曜日の授業で、インド訛りしばりが行われました。
まぁ、教授もその辺りは寛容で、訛らない生徒には『君は参加しないのか？』
と訪ねたりしてました。もちろん、僕もインド訛り英語で発言し、
クラスの皆から拍手をもらいました（笑）。
とまぁ、交流を出来るだけ広げようという目的もあって、
Inseadでは普段こんなことが行われているということですね。^^

I'd like to refer to what is going on in our class today.
It seems that discussion style is popular in the US and Europe,
but lecture style is preferred in Japan (and in other Asia).
Here at Insead, most of the class is operated through discussion.
It is a little difficult to teach Finance, Accounting, Microeconomics
and so on, but even these classes are also taught with discussion
to some extent and some people cannot refrain from speaking.
When it comes to the atmosphere in our class, it is usually casual.
In addition, of course it depends on professor, but some events were
held during the class as follows:
- Champagne Fine
This is one of the INSEAD tradition.
People who say irrelevant or stupid things, sleep during the class,
and have his/her cell phone ring are fined with one bottle of champagne.
All of stocks are distributed after exams and so on.
I also donated three bottles of champagne...
- Bullshit Bingo

Buzzwords such as "Think outside of box," "Big Picture," are one of the
parts of Bingo card, and if you hear those words, you can get a point.
When you reached the Bingo, you have to say in the class, "BULL SHIT!"
Of course, you need some courage to say it during the class.
- Indian accent
As this week is Desi-week (India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh),
We had to use only Indian accent during one of the classes on Friday.
Fortunately the prof was generous and asked the person who talked normally
"Do not you use the Indian accent?"
I also spoke in Indian English and got applause from classmates.^^
In this way we become familiar with each other...^^
