Tadataka Inoh is the first person who walked along through the side of waters in Japan. It was in Edo era. He made maps of all of Japan with exactness as much as maps of the present time. As he was a officer of the Edo gouvernment, he dwelled in Edo. He lived here. This place is near the Monzen-Nakacho station(門前仲町駅). The first step of his long long trips for more than 30 years were always here.

In a park beside a canal a signpost stands.
It tells me the past hightide levels and the hight of bank.
What is AP?
This abbriviation scares me to almost dead. I could find no English words in mymemory.
After a wave serching, I find it comes from Arakawa Peil.
There is another abbrivation, TP; Tokyou Peil.
I consult all of dictionaries I have. I have now more than twenty English dictionaries. There is no word as PEIL.
I have ever seen the way to spell Tokyou.
I scan my brain beyond English words and get an idea!
This must be German word. Yes, it is. Peil is the German word as water level.

Adieu l'annee 2004(東京タワー)

Perhaps, they would change the number in the New Year Day.
It is difficult to find a good position for taking pictures of this tower.
I find the best place on Sunday daytime. It is a bench of Shiba park(芝公園).
From there I would be able to take a picture of only the Tokyo Tower without annoying the street lights or sign lights.
I walk to there on Tuseday evening to find the bench occupied by a homeless man.
So I must walk to look for another good point.

A mother, A grand mother and a daughter.
Near the Ooimachi station(大井町駅) there is a little all night restaurant.
In the daytime this little daughter repeats an order. The way of her speaking is very pretty and lovely. Every clients tell her their orders.

petit Tama(タマちゃん焼き)

A stand car stops on the road near the Tamagawa river (多摩川) and the Kawasaki station(川崎駅).
He sells a sort of cake. It has usually a shape of fish and called Tai-yaki(baked fish).
This cake looks like a seal. This year a young seal swims around rivers and bay of Tokyo. The seal gets very popular. The seal watchers come to bridges and banks of the river. Somebody names the seal Tama-chan.
The seal now disappears and the boom ends.
But people keep buying seal cakes.
I have one. It is not so deliciou but not so bad.

A dish of fried oister is served all around a year.
But in autumn and in winter at the entrance of many restaurants I find posters announces cooking of oister. I ask to myself, "What a difference is there between fried oister in Summer and the one in autumn?"
But this flat shape of fried oister is rare.
The taste is good.
