The Beatles Never Sleeps （英語で紹介版）

I was born in June 1962. The Beatles debuted in October 1962, so the Beatles are the same age as me.

It will be said that the Beatles is 55 years old this year. However, the activity period of the Beatles is very short, about 8 years from 1962 to 1970.

So, when I was 12 years old elementary school student who was shocked by listening to the Beatles for the first time, I have not heard the Beatles on time already. Yes, I am not a "Beatles generation".......

Nevertheless the impact of listening to them still remains and I cannot go back to myself when I did not know the Beatles. My character, way of thinking and life have been influenced by the Beatles pretty well and have reached now. I listen to their songs from the time I was 12 years old until today and roar in the bath, and hum a tune when I go to work.

The room is full of their goods such as their posters, cigarette cards, records, CDs, DVDs, photo albums, biographies, music notes etc. ... and they are truly happy when surrounded by them.

I went to see the birthplace of John and Paul in Liverpool, and also visited Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane. I went to Paul 's concert again and again.

I was playing the guitar and playing the band, as well as all the human relationships I was born, because I knew the Beatles.

This "Beatles never sleeps" was the Beatles that the Ultimate Beatles generation from May 1992 to December 2003 was written by Mr. Yusaku Matsumura, the author of the last Beatles generation, to "Rocking On", "Strange Days" and "Bump" It is essay collection on. The content is only saying "how much the Beatles were amazing!", But still it was a pleasant book as I was able to check my own "degree of fan" and now there is no Beatles .

私が生まれたのが1962年6月。ビートルズがデビューしたのが1962年10月なのでビートルズは私と同い年。今年でビートルズは55歳と言うことになりますね。

とはいえ、ビートルズの活動期間は1962年から1970年までの約8年と非常に短いのです。ですから、初めてビートルズを聞いて衝撃を受けた小学6年生の12歳の時、既にビートルズはなくオン・タイムで聞いたことはないわけです。

そう、私は「ビートルズ世代」ではないのですね。それでも初めて彼らを聞いた時の衝撃は未だに残っていて、ビートルズを知らなかった頃の自分には戻れないのです。

私の性格や考え方や生活って結構ビートルズに影響され続けていて今に至っています。12歳のころから今日までずっと一日も欠かさずに彼らの曲を聴いているし、風呂では唸り、出勤時は口ずさんでいます。

部屋は彼らのポスター、シガレットカード、レコード、CD、DVDや写真集や伝記、楽譜・・・等々彼らのグッズで溢れていて、それらに囲まれていると本当に幸せなんです。

リバプールのジョンやポールの生家も見に行ったし、ストロベリーフィールズやペニーレインにも訪れました。ポールのコンサートにも何度も行きました。

私がギターを弾いてバンドをやっているのも、そうして生まれた人間関係も全てビートルズを知ってしまったからなんですね。

この「ビートルズは眠らない」は最後のビートルズ世代の筆者「松村雄策」氏が「ロッキング・オン」や「ストレンジデイズ」や「バンプ」に1992年5月～2003年12月まで上梓していたビートルズに関するエッセイ集です。

内容は「どのくらいビートルズが凄かったか！」ということを綴っているだけなんですが、それでもまた自分自身の「ファン度」が確認出来て、ビートルズがなければ今がない私としては楽しい一冊でした。

土日で計20時間位は寝たと思います。

その反動か12時過ぎても眠気が訪れません。

何だかスッキリしたくて、こんなモノ買っちゃいました。


この辺のドラッグストアーでは全く取り扱ってませんでしたが、近所のイ◎ンにありましたよ。恐るべしイ◎ン！

それにしても最近、色々ありましてね。
身もココロもデトックスしたくなる冬です。
