一昔前には大人の脳には幹細胞はなく、毎日脳細胞神経細胞は

10万個レベルで壊れて減っていくといわれていましたが、今

では大人でも記憶を担当する海馬にも幹細胞は残っていて、

条件が整えれば年取っても脳神経を増やせるといわれています。

2012年ノーベル賞を受賞された京都大学の山中先生のips 細胞

の応用技術では、諦めていた目の角膜や脊髄損傷回復など、

障害が治るのではと言われていました。


最近ではこの幹細胞を培養する液体には幹細胞が育つ過程で

出す様々な分泌物、成長因子、サイトカインなどが含まれて

おり、これが幹細胞が分化して細胞を生み育てる時の成長因子

に多量に得られる上に、自分の細胞から取り出すこの液体は

再生医学での幹細胞特有のリスクもなく、効果が得やすいという。

この再生医療の世界一を行っているのが日本で、現在注目を

浴びています。

 100歳寿命到来がすぐそこにやって来ています。
