■Turning it to my advantage
My computer is gone, but I have another PC at home. My friend left it. Yeah, I was gonna complain about it (see the post on 7/16).

Two months ago, one of my friends left her PC at my place telling me that I should take care of it, and she left for Boston. By “take care of it,” she meant “try to sell it” or “keep it.” She was trying to sell her PC online but couldn’t find any buyer. So she wanted me to keep (or rather to sell) it until she finds someone to buy it. She didn’t wanna take it to Boston because it is BIG.

Okay, what is wrong with this? Well, what annoyed me was that I ALSO had to move out from the student-dorm soon after her leaving, and she KNEW it. Then how could she leave her BIG stuff to me? And she did it in the morning she was leaving Williamsburg. In the last minutes! No time to suggest any other options! If it was a book or some small things, then it’s totally ok, fine, I would deal with it. BUT a big desk-top computer?

First of all, she didn’t leave me any box for it. So in the case that she finds someone to buy it on ebay or some online website, who’s going to pack and ship it? …Me!? Wait a minute. I have no idea how I will find a proper box for the BIG computer and pack it carefully so that it won’t get any damage. Secondly, what if she can’t find any buyer by the time I leave U.S? What should I do with it? Should I send it to Boston? Or Can I just throw it away? Either way, it is a hassle. She will never come back, and there is no one I can ask to take care of her big stuff here.

Well… but now, it’s funny that I'm complaining about her computer with using her computer:-) (I am typing on it now. Grr...where is my Vaio?) Maybe I should thank her.
