彼らのチューニングにはロック走行やヘビーローデングのオーバーランド仕様はなく、おおかた街中での使用が主目的の様だ。

Every Defender that rolls out of the Twisted workshop is exclusively designed for its new owner. In order to get to that stage, we follow an in-depth step-by-step process that ensures that everything, from the driving experience to the comfort level to the physical appearance is exactly the way you want it to be. However, we begin with you…

1. step one: you　（ライフスタイルは！？）

   This is both the most crucial and the most flexible part of the Twisted process. We need to fully understand you and your lifestyle. Over several face-to-face or telephone conversations we will ask many questions about how you intend to use the Defender, what kind of terrain it will need to handle, and what special requirements you have for it. The information we glean will form the blueprint for the rest of the steps.

2. step two: drive　（走り）

   Twisted Defenders are a joy to drive. That’s because we labour over the customisation of every detail to make sure that it is ideal for you in every way. We will recommend the right combination of wheels and tyres; and work out whether the standard suspension works best for you, or if you need the extra damping power, adhesion and stability of an exclusive Twisted suspension set up.

   

3. step three: power（動力）

   There is much that can be done to a Defender engine in order to make it perform to your exact specifications. All our performance modifications begin with the re-mapping of the ECU data, which provides us with an excellent foundation for all additional hardware upgrades - everything that’s needed in order to squeeze every last drop of safe, useable performance from your vehicle. However, if you are after really serious power, we also offer full engine transplants. This service enables us to tailor the performance to your exact needs.

   

4. step four: comfort　（乗り心地）

   How your Defender feels ‘under you’ is as essential to the overall driving experience as the way it handles. Appropriate, high quality seating, for instance, whether it’s with an upgrade to the classic seat, or a completely new sport model, can optimise your driving comfort and position. Depending on the way you intend to use your vehicle, we will recommend full interior acoustic sound deadening to dramatically enhance the Defender ‘drive’.

   

5. step five: style　（スタイル）

   One of the most exciting things about a Land Rover Defender is the potential for accessorising it, inside and out. From rugged roof racks and rear spotlights, to high-end media installations and one-off storage solutions, we will work with you to adapt the vehicle so that it works for you in terms of style and on a practical level.

   

　

　プロセスの流れを見て分かるがスタイルが一番最後である、勿論これは見た目や外観の事を指している。そして一番最初に問うのがライフスタイルである。
