It may not be that the memory of this picture was responsible for my becoming an artist but remained as a symbol of my aims; to combine the rich traditions of the East with my accumulative experience and viewpoint of the West.



この絵の記憶が、私をアーティストした原因ではないかもしれませんが、東洋の豊かな伝統と私の積み重ねた経験で西洋的観点を結合させると言う、私の目標の象徴として残っていました。



訳後感：
一昨日は、久しぶりにほぼ一日雨が降った。　昨日は、一日中曇っていたが雨は降らなかった。
今日は、曇っていたが午後になって雨になった。　多分明日も似た様な天気だろう。
