Asahi English Haiku: referring to Scarecrow (かかし)
(My original One):
A Scarecrow
Waiting for alone
Radio-contaminated Field
(Professor David McMurray revised):
Scarecrow In
radio-contaminated field
waits alone

English Haiku is too profound to study. I need to keep on trying utmost best to improve,
In my personal opinion, regarding the picture illustrated on the above HP, both scarecrow and black crow may symbolize something which seems to be Heart or Dummy of Growers or Farmers and crow symbolized the Fukushima Atomic Power Disaster, with great regret, its heart is still waiting for the growers or farmers who are still compelled to be evacuated by force, and good crop of rice is now radio-contaminated in vain. Scarecrow seems to wait alone for the Farmer return back home to restart agricultural work same as done before. I tried to express these in my English Haiku.
