さて本題に入ります。 ２日目の朝、キャンプ場から車で、ジョッフルレイクス
州立公園まで行きハイキング！ 既に沢山の人が来ている。 １つ目の湖、
綺麗なエメラルドグリーンLower Lake. ここから、遥か向こうにそびえ立つ
マチエー氷河が見える すぐ近くまでハイキング。 目指すは次のMiddle Lake、
蚊を追い払いながら 夏木立が並ぶトレイルを登る。
常日頃足を鍛えて おられるのですね。 青葉若葉のトレイル。整備されている所、
足場の悪いところ。 湧き水に助けられますね！ ユニークな彫刻に癒され歩く。
遂にMiddle Lakeに到着、マチエー氷河が近くに迫る！
唖然とするような美しい湖！氷河！ 子供は風景よりも食い気！ですね。
そしてさらに目的のUpper Lake！氷河がすぐそこに！ さらにキャンプ場を
目指す。ゴツゴツの岩だらけ。 道なき道をあるくですね！ 大変お疲れ様です。
