Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is dispair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Blessed are the people that understand my staggering foot and my hand's trembling.
Blessed are the people who understand that great effort is necessary to hear the words of other people.
Blessed are the people who understand in good faith that my actions are slow and my eyes are growing thinner.
Blessed are the people whose calm face does not change even though I spill my coffee.
Blessed are the people who stop for a while and talk with a bright smile.
Blessed are the people who never say "I heard that story twice today."
Blessed are the people who know how to bring back the joy from long ago.
Blessed are the people who taught me that I am loved and not alone.
Blessed are the people who understand that I am not strong enough to carry the weight of the cross on my shoulders.
Blessed are the people who will with love celebrate the last days of my life's journey.

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly, and pray the Lord your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss, and call you back for just one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would tape each word and action, and play them back throughout my days. If I knew it would be the last time, I would spare an extra minute or two, To stop and say “I love you,”instead of assuming you know I do.
So just in case tomorrow never comes, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you, and I hope we never will forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss, And you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ear That you love them very much, and you'll always hold them dear. Take time to say "I'm sorry,"... "Please forgive me,"... "thank you" or "it's okay". And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today.
One night I dreamed a dream. I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.
When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times in my life.
This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma. "Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I needed You most, You leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you."
And it is for that purpose that each soul enters a material manifestation, that it may put the will, the glory, the purpose of the Father-God first and foremost, as exemplified in the life of Jesus of Nazareth. (2081-1)

Be rather thou the channel through which He, God, the Father, may manifest His power - in whatever may be the chosen activity of the entity. (3183-1)
