Today's cherry blossoms
We Japanese really like cherry blossoms（especially this "Someiyoshino"）from ancient times.
A couple of flowers bloomed on a single cherry blossom tree.Each prefecture chooses one tree,and when on that tree 5 flowers bloom, they announce the beginning of blooming season.
There is no "The official announcement that the cherry blossoms have started to bloom" in Okayama City I live in yet.
