　以下のメールがカナダから届いています。ヨットマンが、カナダから太平洋を横断、その後日本を一周して、再びカナダに帰る。約1年を要するロングジャーニーです。2011年、来年の4月から開始される予定のプロジェクト。今、メールのやり取りをしています。実現することを祈ります！


I won't be leaving until April 2011...I had been hoping to leave in April 2010, but I spent a lot of 2009 doing boat upgrades/repairs so I need to get more time on the water before going to Japan.

My plan is to leave Victoria, B.C. in mid-April, get to Hawaii in mid-May, and then Japan (Chichijima to Yokohama) in mid-June. From there, I will go north over the top of Hokkaido and then down the west coast, arriving　in　Fukuoka in late November and then spend the winter in Okinawa. I will start heading north in early March, getting back Yokohama in mid-May and then head back across the Pacific to Victoria, arriving home in early July.

I will, apparently, be the first foreigner to do a full circumnavigation
of Japan
