Wooden cutlery, tongs, chopstics containers

Today really started with the first of protective
coatings, but, that was after taking my wife to her
regular gathering with friends.

See? I have at long last started coating the containers.
This is imperative, because girls will be coming to
the BBQ party soon.

All together, 6 layers of protective coating will be
applied, and then followed by the matting process...
That is why my works are of the utmost quality in terms of coating!!!

Including my saucers, as seen bellow.

I was wondering what I might do today, thinking back
on yesterday's, and it daunted on me that I might simplify
the whole thing about the tong business. See, bellow...

The idea behind was this. Do we really need large bills?
Why can we not have beaks, instead? Even if vegetable leaves are
large in their extent, why do you need bill sized

structures with your tongs? After all, all that matters
is that you can pick them up for transfer to your plates,
no?

Those two on the right, as a pair, showing different facets, are the
beak tongs!, as opposed to bill tongs to the left...

You of course realise that I have been working on the prototype
tongs, and I told you some of the issues involved.
Put in a nutshell, the largest issue is the positioning

of the plate springs... You need fine adjustments, and
what I decied to do was to elongate two holes on
one end.

3 mm endmill is being used, and with the next you may just about
be able to see the elongated holes, to the left...

However, this is bound to bring in extra issues, which
I will talk about with schematics. On the whole, though,
I am happy with the way things are folding out...

I even made an arrangement for an extra 7 tongs of the
same shape, as shown bellow...

My biggest issue is illustrated as the schematic A bellow.
No matter how careful, you cannot just vend the plate
spring right down the middle. It is exegerated, of course.

These issues are compounded, as this result shows...
See? C is the the measured centre and A is the
discrepancy that tends to result of vending...

On top of that, because of my simple mistake
the hole positions are not ideal, as shown in B,
they shoud sift as indicated.

As it is the elongated holes will bring in the problem of
part of the elongated hole extruding from the end of the
handle. See A bellow?

All these related issues come about because I wish to use
constants, as much as possible, for dimenshional
purposes. For instance, I want the hole positions to be

constant distances from the end of the handle. The
elongated holes are for that purpose, really. All this
means that the current groove length constant of

40 mm from the end of the handle will have to be
increased to 50 mm...

B is just showing you that I will cover up the holes and
grooves. 15 mm starting thickness will allow me to do just that!

After all, these are my preliminary thoughts. You will learn
things as you go along...

Conchita, como estas?

Comiendo bien?, cantando bien?, haciendolo bien?
Aqui hoy, no hace mucho calor..., y espero la
lluvia, la lluvia ligera, como en Londres...

Ahora vamos?

Aunque nos vimos hace muchos anyos, todavia
recuerdo muchas cosas!

Recuerdo a ti!

Que recuerdas de Italo?

El tiene dos anyos mas que yo... y que tu!

En que estas pensando!

Estoy pensando en ti!

Ah, no me quieres decir!

A quien estas escribiendo!

I was absolutely filled with curiosity!

My curiosity got better of me!

What is the lure? A piece of beef on a line?

I am sorry to phone so late, but this needs
tidying up a bit!

You would be hard-pressed to do that!

Do not ever let it go!

with an attitude like that, dounokouno!

the way we think and relate to women

You missed out on all the fun of it!

He is polar opposite to you!
He is diametrically opposite to you!

Conchita, this should do for now, I think.
Take care and vaya con Dios!

You can, by the way, refer to my "Two River"
memoirs by reversing the viewing order. They are
all contained in the very first chapter, when

this logging was started up...
