Conducted by Jiří Kout, the FOK's program features perhaps the two most popular works by Czech composers -- the Vyšehrad, Vltava and Šárka sections from Bedřích Smetana's Má vlast together with Antonín Dvořák's ninth symphony, From the New World.
The Prague Symphony Orchestra are regular visitors to Japan and spent several days in Sendai, one of the cities worst-affected by the disaster, as recently as last year.
