生きている

つい、ひと月前頃まで、家の中で、ときおり白くて霞のような物体が私の背後を時折さっと通り過ぎていた。

猫だろうかと、その度に振りかえったけれど、そうでもなかった。それが、数回、度々起きていた。

だから、最近見えなくなったあの白く素早い物は、「気付いてよ」と言いたげな誰かさん、それもとても身近な母だったかもしれないと、
今日、改めてひとり受け止めた。

心配しているのだ。
