【Even if　～ / Even though　】

Even though I followed the instructions carefully I couldn't assemble the funiture I bought Katori.
私は指示書どおりに注意深く従ったけれど、コトリで買ってきた家具を作ることができなかった

*　（上の文のエピソード）このブログの管理人のメイが所要で１時間遅刻することをメンバーから講師に伝えてもらっていたのですが、結局クラスに到着した時、残りの時間が３０分しか残っていませんでした。そこで講師がこの英文で過去進行形を講義してくれました。

I was starting to wonder whether or not you would come.
＝I was starting to wonder if you would come.
私はあなたが来るだろうかと思い始めていた

At the party after their argument I was starting to wonder whether or not they would break up.
パーティーで彼らが口論の後、別れたのだろうかと思い始めていた

これはペンだと私は思わない→これはペンではないと思う

I dind't think she was a single.　But she was.　
彼女は独身ではなかったと思った。でも独身だった


【neither どちらも～でない/ both of them 両方　/ all of them 　全部　/ none of them　ひとつもない】

*none of them に続く文は本来は単数扱いであるが、後の複数名詞に引かれて複数扱いされる事が多い（ジーニアス英和辞典より）
