天気は大部分は曇りでした-------- The weather was mostly cloudy.
ほとんどの日本人は納豆が好き------> Most Japanese people like natto.
先週、私と友達が会ったとき、ほとんど彼女の赤ちゃんについて話した
------> Last week, when my friend and I met, we mostly talked about her baby.
私の靴のほとんどは黒です------> Most of my shoes are black.

【ほとんど～ない】
hardly -------> ほとんど～ない、とても～ない

この公園にはほとんど犬がいない------> In this park, there are hardly any dogs.
私の旅の間、ほとんど雨が降らなかった------> During my trip, it hardly rained.
その治療はほとんど痛くなかった　-----> The treatment hardly hurt.

I'm glad～　とIt's a good thing～は同じように使える

早く来て良かったです-----> It's a good thing I came here early.
私たちが話す機会があったことがうれしいです（過去）-----> I'm glad we had a chance to talk.
あなたの旅の前に昼食をする機会があったことは嬉しいです
-----> I'm glad we had a chance to have lunch before your trip.
あなたが私の誕生日を忘れてなくて嬉しいです----> I'm glad you didn't forget my birthday.
今週友人が東京へ行かなかったのはよかった。
----> I'm glad my friend didn't go to Tokyo this weekend.
＊上記の文はdidn't　なので過去ですが、　this weekend　はpast weekendのことです
日本語でも「今週末行かなくてよかった」と言えば過去の週末ですし、今週末（これからの）は行かなくていいので良かった」と言えば未来になるのと似ています
より具体的にしたいときは日にちを言うか last weekend, this coming weekend　などを使うこともできますが、講師は過去の形のthis weekend　は終わった週末。　未来の形のthis weekend　はこれからの週末という意味で使っているようでした

【痛い】
動詞の痛い-----> hurt （単数の時はsをつける）
背中が痛い-----> My back hurts.
胸が痛い-------> My chest hurts.
両方の肩が痛い-----> My shoulders hurt.
肘が痛い------> My elbow hurts.
両目が痛い------> My eyes hurt.
１本の歯が痛い-----> My tooth hurts.
複数の歯が痛い-----> My teeth hurt.
右足が痛い-----> My right foot hurts.
両足が痛い------> My feet hurt.
ここが痛い（指で指しながら）------> It hurts here.
