Closed out 2013 season strong and played well at The Presidents Cup. No doubt he'll be in the mix in Vegas, where he was T10 in 2008.

Anyone who frequently reads my picks (Hi, mom!) knows that I like to mix it up a little bit with my lineups and I don't expect Crane, who has five top 20s in his last seven trips here, or former champion Laird will crack many lineups. Give me de Jonge to continue his stellar play from The Presidents Cup and win at TPC Summerlin.

My lineup features recent Presidents Cuppers, three of whom are looking for their first wins. I expect all to break through soon, but Hideki Matsuyama has momentum after last week's tie for third.

Had made 81 starts without a PGA TOUR win. Based on how he played at The Presidents Cup, maybe No. 82 is his lucky number in Vegas.

No reason to deviate from the top four in my Power Rankings. Not this early. Not in this field.

A dreadful summer was salvaged in the FedExCup Playoffs with a T9 at The Barclays and a solo second at the BMW Championship; he'll keep those vibes going at TPC Summerlin, where the Vegas resident has three straight top 10s.

Matsuyama may prove to be one of the better ball-strikers on TOUR by season's end. Machine-like at times, I like him to take home his first title this week.

Consider it a home game for the defending champion, who went to UNLV and resides in Las Vegas. Moore can go super low at TPC Summerlin (61-68-65-66 in 2012) and he puts himself in great position to start the 2013-14 season well.

Has seen success here, finished T4 in 2010 and is also coming off a successful Presidents Cup appearance. Oh, and Simpson doesn't strike me as the partying type in Vegas, so his focus will be all on the course.

Nobody tell Zach Johnson it's a new season, since he finished his 2013 campaign with a win and seven top 10s in his last eight starts. Also look for Levin to continue his comeback from injury at a course where he's had success.

Seemed to be in good form at the end of the 2013 season, and has a good history at TPC Summerlin. |

I can't wait to see what a couple of the Internationals' stars will do this week at TPC Summerlin. I'll bet I am one of the few who leaves Zach Johnson on the bench. I am saving him for later.

The week off following his International best 3-1-1 showing at The Presidents Cup will have the Canadian rejuvenated to pick up right where he left off last season, routinely contending for victories.
