Only Franz never showed up in the kitchen.   He didn't need to 
listen to Resi's wild stories.   He had been the Captain's orderly 
while on active duty in the Navy, and he couldn't have told stories
himself about submarines and torpedoes, but he thought his stories 
too good for the kitchen.
