【almost】
almostは ～するところだった、というときに使うーー 過去形の動詞と一緒に使う
almost ~するところだった、という以外に「ほぼ」「ほとんど」という意味で時間、年齢で現在形で使われる
彼女はほぼ90歳です------> She is almost 90.
もうすぐ10時です-----> It’s almost 10.
もう少しで準備できます------> I’m almost ready.
私の友達たちはもう少しで勝つところでした(意味は「惜しくも負けました」）------->My friends almost won the game.
わたしは危うく友人の新しいカメラを落とすところでした（実際には落としていない）------> I almost dropped my friend’s new camera.
わたしはもう少しで終わりです（まだ終わっていない）-------> I’m almost finished.
【mostly】
mostlyは頻度、量として使う
メールを送るとき私はほとんどコンピューターを使います------> I mostly use my computer when I email.
この公園にいるのはほとんどが子供です-------> There are mostly children in this park.
この箱の中にあるのはほとんどが本です------> There are mostly books in this box.
【hardly, hardly any】
hardly +動詞：ほとんど～ない
hardly any +名詞：ほとんど（名詞）がない
この公園にはほとんど子供がいません、一方、あの公園は（いるのは）ほとんどが子どもたちです-------> In this park, there are hardly any children. On the other hand, in that park there are mostly children.
東京へ行く途中、新幹線で、友人と私はほとんど話しませんでした---------> On the way to Tokyo on Shinkansen, my friend and I hardly talked.

一般的な（ほとんどの～）はmost+名詞
限定された状況の時はmost of the名詞 または（誰誰のの時は所有格）most of my名詞
ほとんどの子供は好奇心がある-------> Most children are curious.
この公園にいるほとんどの子供たちはサッカーをしています-----> Most of these children in this park are playing soccer.
【enough +名詞 ・ 形容詞+enough】
私たちは新しい文法を勉強する十分な時間がありません--------> We don’t have enough time to study new grammar.
彼女は運転できる年齢ですか-------> She is old enough to drive.
私の別荘はエアコンを使わないほど十分涼しいです-------> At my cabin is cool enough not to use my AC.
彼女の事務所は駅から歩いていくのに十分近い-------> Her office is close enough from the station to walk to.
