Promoting a nation's economic development is never more important than protecting its cultural heritage.
And I give two reasons why I think this way.

First, cultural heritages can make education greater.
A nation's educational improvement is more important than promotion of the economic development.
For example, cultural heritages can be available for students to study their nation's history.
Civilization without identifying itself is merely to destroy the environment.

Second, just promoting a nation's economics development is outdated issue.
People have to rethink the way to have benefited only their own country so far.
Without protecting the environment which includes other cultures, the economic development can not be sustainable.

For these reasons, I believe that to promote a nation's economic development will be less important than to protect the cultural heritage.

I agree with the idea that religion becomes less important as societies become modern.
And I give two reasons why I think this way.

To begin with, I see it obvious that religion has taken over by substantial things, such as science, industry, and monetary things, when reflecting the human's history.
Religion has been trying to reform their praying style as societies have become more modern.
Some indigenous religions have been rarely surviving.

Secondly, when people need the religion in the modern society, it ought to be suitable for the democratic policy.
Any way, religion which tells people to conflict with other nations will vanish in the future.

For these reasons, I believe the importance of religion will become less in modern societies than it was in the past.
