【most, mosltyを使った表現】
大体において-----> for the most part / mostly
量、時間）パーティで坂本さんとわたしはほとんど彼の車について話しました-------> At the party, Mr Sakamoto and I mostly talked about his car.
( At the party, Mr. Sakamoto and I talked mostly about his car. )上と同じ意味だが、mostlyの位置が名詞の前。一般的には上の文のように動詞の前に持ってくるように覚えるほうがいい
頻度）わたしが坂本さんと会う時、私たちはたいてい本について話します-------> When I meet Mr. Sakamoto, we usually talk about books.
一方-----> On the other hand,
わたしの友達のほとんどは英語を話すことができる-------> Most of my friends can speak English.
もう少しで11時です(ほとんど11時です）-------> It’s almost 11:00.
most of のあとに続くのは - my（など所有格）/ the （定冠詞）/these（代名詞）/what
【most of what～】
彼女の言ったほとんどのことは英語でした---------> Most of what she said was in English.
東京でわたしが買ったほとんどのものは友人のためのものです---------> In Tokyo most of what I bought was for my friend.
子供の時に信じていたことのほとんどを今ではもう信じていない-------> Most of what I believed as a child I don’t believe anymore. / Most of what I believed when I was a child I don’t believe anymore. (下線部は目的語）
〈上の文を下線部目的語を文の後ろに持ってきても意味が通じる-------> I don’t believe anymore most of what I believed as a child. 〉
私が欲しいほとんどのものはすでに持っている--------> Most of what I want I already have.(下線部が目的語）
〈下線部の目的語を文の後ろに持ってくる--------> I already have most of what I want. 〉
わたしが食べるほとんどのものは新鮮です(ほとんどのもの / わたしが食べる/ 新鮮です）------> Most of what I eat is fresh. (下線が主語）
子供たちが小さかった時、わたしの心配のほとんどは彼らの健康についてでした--------> When my children were little, most of what I worried about was their health. (下線部は主語なのでbe動詞でつなぐ文になる）
わたしがパーティのために計画してるほとんどのことはうまくいっています-------> Most of what I plan for the party is going well.
この頃、私が勉強していることのほとんどは英語です-------> These day, most of what I study is English.
旅行で見たことの（覚えていることの）ほとんどは美しい忘れられない景色でした--------> On my trip, most of what I saw was beautiful unforgettable scenery. / During my trip most of what I remembered was beautiful unforgettable scenery.
私がクラスを欠席している間にしていたほとんどのことはダラダラしていたことです（何もしていなかった）--------> Most of what I did during my absence from this class was fooling around nothing
昨日、孫としたことのほとんどはテレビゲームでした--------> Yesterday most of what I did with my grandchild was playing / to play video game.
【-wise～に関しては】
wise------> (人が経験豊富で判断、決定などに置いて）賢い、頭のいい、思慮深い
子供にしては彼女は賢い-------> For a child, she is wise.
-wise------> ～に関しては。名詞の語尾につける（どんな名詞の後にでも付けられるわけではない）
健康の面では大丈夫ですか-------> Health-wise, are you okay?
お金の面では-------> Money-wise,
仕事の面では------> Work-wise,
景色の面では------->View-wise,
雰囲気の面では-------> Atmosphere-wise,
デザートの面では-------> Dessert-wise,
