It can't be helped. それは仕方のないことです。/ 自然（雨、風）のせいで予定していたことが出来ないなど、または展覧会、仕事の準備などで忙しいことはどうにもならないこと）
There's nothing you can do. しかたがない、どうしようもない
What can you do? 仕方がない、しょうがない（直訳すると：何ができるというの？何も出来ない、という意味）
Men. （言い方に注意：メ～ン）男の人ってしょうがないわねぇ～（お酒やタバコをするのは仕方ない）
Women.(言い方に注意：ウィメ～ン）女ってしょうがないな！ （人前で化粧したり、おしゃべりがうるさいのは仕方ない）
Kids. （いい方に注意：キィッズ）子供だからしょうがないか・・（子供だからうるさいのは仕方ない）

-I enjoyed snowshoeing last weekend. 私は先週末スノーシューを楽しみました

Did you use poles? ストックを使いましたか？
How was the weather? 天気はどうでしたか
Was it very cold? とても寒かったですか
Did you go with anyone? 誰かと一緒に行きましたか？
* Who did you go with? 誰と行きましたか？は尋問のようになってしまうので上のDid you～?で聞くとよい
How long did you stay there? どのくらい（時間）そこにとどまりましたか
=How long were you there? どのくらいそこにいましたか？
What did you do on the lake? 湖の上で何をしましたか？
-There were a lot of tents on the ice-covered lake. 氷の張った湖の上にたくさんのテントがありました
To protect them from cold wind in their tents
テントは彼らを冷たい風から守る
Do you think they had heaters in the tents? 彼らはテントの中にヒーターを持っていたと思いますか？
-I don't think so. そう思いません
How was the temperature on the day? 気温はどうでしたか？
