The green, white, and red colours of Mexico flew from the top of Vancouver’s Trump Tower over the weekend.
On April 2, a Port Moody resident named Diego Reyna posted a photo on Facebook that showed him sitting next to a Mexican flag he had tied to a window at the top of the 63-story tower.
“Why did I put a Mexican flag on the roof of the top of Trump Tower in Vancouver?” he wrote alongside the photo. “Because from the concrete pouring, finishing, drywall, taping, wood forming and general labour, Mexicans were there, building it.”
At the time of writing, the Facebook post had received more than 3,600 shares and more than 2,500 reactions, the vast majority of them positive.
The tower is not owned by Donald Trump but its developer, the Holborn Group, paid Trump to brand it with the name of the New York–based real-estate mogul. It stands at the corner of West Georgia and Thurlow streets and is scheduled to be completed by the fall of 2016.
Donald Trump is the Republican frontrunner for the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
In a speech Trump made announcing his candidacy for president in June 2015, he claimed many Mexican immigrants who crossed into the United States illegally were “rapists”.
“When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best,” Trump said. “They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
Since then, Trump has made many other public comments that are racist towards Mexicans. He has also suggested the U.S. ban all Muslims from entering the country.
In Reyna’s Facebook post, the Mexican Canadian mentions those remarks.
“The comments Trump has made about us, did not stop us from doing the high quality work we have always done, in our home country or when we migrate to the US/Canada,” it reads. “MR Trump, we did our best work, your tower here in Vancouver is premium quality, and we were a crucial part of it, not just Mexicans but immigrants as a whole, like your ancestors were, you are not native american, the insults you have said about us, have not changed our work ethics, while working on your tower Mexicans didn't steal anything nor raped anyone, we just did the best work we could possibly do, for my ourselves, our families and the future tenants in your building.”

Well... Obviously, Trump upset many Mexicans as well as many Muslims. You see Donald Trump has made a lot of racist remarks.
Yes, I know. That is one of the reasons I don't like Trump. But, Kato, nobody is perfect.
You're telling me, Diane. I'm NOT saying I hate him simply because he made a lot of racist remarks. You know, we all have some kind of prejudice, but if he wants to be elected as US president, he shouldn't have made those offensive racist remarks.

The situation in the States resembles the days when the Nazi Party was the largest elected party in the German Reichstag, which led to Hitler's appointment as Chancellor on 30 January 1933.

Compared to Hitler, however, Donald trump appears to lack energy, and he seems a little bit too fat as the leader of the United States.
You're right, Diane. Trump looks like a fat and corrupt Roman senator to me. He is NOT in good shape, nor fit for healthy politics.
