世界最大の補助犬育成団体の国際会議ＡＤＩ総会に20日からトロントに行ってきます。
ＡＤＩは21日、22日、23日の3日間。
今回は、ＩＡＡＤＰ（世界最大の補助犬ユーザーの会）の会長であるＤｒ Ｅｄ Ｅａｍｅｓの追悼をさせていただく機会を、頂戴できました。Ｄｒ Ｅｄは、有馬の博士論文をとても楽しみにしてくださっていたのに、まだ執筆中でした。もっと早く、呼んでもらえばよかった・・・。後悔先にたたずですね。
追悼文は、Ｊｉｌｌ（聴導犬ユーザー）に直してもらったものです。ネィティブな表現って、難しい・・。

Ed, you are the master who showed us the way to fight for
our unequaled partners, our assistance dogs.
Ed, who like our father, always encouraged us to become leaders and go forth
with the Japanese Assistance Dog Movement.
Ed, we will honor you and go forward with your ideas to support
all assistance dog partners.
Please watch over us as we prepare for the Second International Assistance
Dogs Partners Conference in 2010 in Japan. We will feel your spirit there
as you guide us to a successful conference and Japanese Movement.

and no addiction we have overcome, without the love and support of
specific individuals who reached out to empower us.”
Ed, indeed you and your memory gave and gives us love and support to
empower us.
