拾ってみたら

令和元年

A coin of 5 yen

I picked it up on the street

The coin has Gengo, it’s the first year

それだけのことなのですが…。このとき思ったことは、初めて見る令和元号入りのお金が、拾った五円玉だった。って…どういう風に捉えたらいいのだろう、です。別にそこに意味も何も無いとは思うのですが、初めての令和なのに、なんだかなぁです。

その五円玉は、道に落ちててもピカピカしてて、とても目立っていました。去年造幣したばかりだから、新しいですね。

ちなみに気をつけていないと、令和、忘れがちです。それに対するインパクトも、この五円玉はありました。「あ、令和だ！」「そうだ、令和だった」

ちなみに気をつけていないと、平成の三十年間も、記憶からすぐに抜け落ちます。昭和までの元号は、時代区分を把握しやすくて便利なのですが…。

二千二年は令和二年。覚えやすいはずなんですけど。意識して覚えるようにしないと、すぐに忘れてしまい…。

We’ve got our original era name in Japan. Last year, our new era started. It’s Reiwa(令和). Japanese currency has 6 different types of coin. Such as, 1yen, 5 yen, 10yen, 50yen, 100yen, 500yen. Any coins have the era name, but it depends on era, previous era is Heisei(平成).

I picked a 5 yen coin on the street. It has “Reiwa” on the backside of it. It’s the first time to see a coin that has Reiwa.

I felt weird why my first time to see Reiwa on a coin was, I picked it up on the road?

It means nothing, I believe.
